Camp Galileo for Pre-K through 5th graders is returning to Danville this summer at Green Valley Elementary. Operated by Galileo Learning--the Bay Area leader in high-quality summer day camps for kids--Camp Galileo will kick off its creative art, science and outdoor summer enrichment curriculum 6/21. Hailed as 'Best Summer Camp for Kids' by numerous Bay Area media, you'll recall that Camp Galileo engages kids with hands-on, age-appropriate activities that spur innovation and make learning fun.

Danville parents will be interested in learning about Camp Galileo's opportunities to save by 3/1 as well as how--amidst today's school budget constraints--the camp is helping to bridge the educational gap, delivering a quality summer enrichment experience that extends learning beyond the school year.

Here's what Danville kids and parents can look forward to this summer:

• Exciting 2010 curriculum themes, including the all-new 'Adventures in Flight' and 'Ocean Expeditions', as well as returning favorites like 'Egyptian Art', 'Amusement Park Engineers', 'Medieval Art', 'Mission to the Moon' and 'Psychedelic '60s'. Ex: In Amusement Park Engineers, kids will build a roller coaster and other rides to learn about Newton's laws and other scientific principles. Curriculum is developed in partnership with the de Young Museum (art), Tech Museum of Innovation (science) and Klutz® (outdoors).

Camp Galileo session dates all summer long, from 6/21 through 7/30 at Green Valley Elementary. Financial assistance is available.
