Residents can save postage and time with vote-by-mail program
Danville residents will find it easier to vote in the upcoming November 8, 2016 election, as the County Elections Office and the Town of Danville partner once again to provide a convenient “CoCo Vote-N-Go” ballot drop-off location prior to and on Election Day.
The distinctive red, white and blue ballot drop-off box is available at the Danville Town Office, 510 La Gonda Way. Ballots can be dropped off Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The postage for vote-by-mail envelopes this election is 68 cents; however, the drop-off box service eliminates the need for those stamps. Ballots must be postmarked on or before November 8.
“We had an overwhelming response when the program was launched for the presidential primary in June, receiving hundreds and hundreds of ballots in just a few weeks,” said Danville City Clerk Marie Sunseri, “and we expect to see those numbers increase tremendously as we continue to offer this service to voters.”
Ballots may also be dropped off at any polling place on Election Day, or at the County Elections Office in Martinez, located at 555 Escobar Street between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
